Romeo and Juliet (II, ii, 1-2)
I left work recently, to give this full-time writing lark a go. Who knows, may even get a chance for more blogging as well?
Anyway, 2 unusual things happened as a direct result of leaving my job;
1. I was invited to a 'leaving party' (I'm usually not invited to my own 'leaving parties').
2. I also came into my first ever 'leaving present' (in fact, plural).
Aside from a gorgeous leather-bound notepad, now proudly set aside on my writing desk, I also received a Parker pen and pencil set- with the name of my Blog engraved into the side. How cool is that? Only thing is (and I doubt this was an error, more likely that pens and pencils are only so long), but they only read "From The Fringe" rather than "Thoughts From The Fringe".
So, in thanks for such a well thought out gift (I'm a sucker for good stationary), I've changed the name of the blog. It certainly has nothing to do with the fact that "From The Fringe" is simply punchier, more editorial and just plain cool... Honest.
Thanks again.
"So long, good luck, and goodbye!"
Weldon Rogers.
